Easter

We had a fun and busy weekend. We took the boys to their first ever Easter egg hunt Saturday morning, it was so much fun. I wasn't sure if the boys would know what to do or just get lost in all the commotion. They surprised me as they saw the candy and knew to go grab it and put it in their baskets.

We got to the egg hunt early as I had heard it draws a lot of people and we didn't want to miss the start time. Well since we were early Henry had a hard time being patient. He continually tried to run out onto the field and snatch up the candy before anyone else could. He also loved the attention and would look to see who was watching as we would run out to get him and bring him back to the sidelines. Colton was very patient in waiting and I thought he may be to passive and not grab any candy when it was go time. Not the case at all, he had a slow but steady plan of attack and ended up with one of the more full baskets that I saw. Most kids ran to the middle, Colton stayed close to the side and got all the candy that most just ran over. He is a thinker... always has a plan. Ha! I see why Henry follows his lead ;)

Later that afternoon we colored eggs, I thought it would be fun but wasn't sure the boys would think much of it. Wrong again, every time we dropped an egg in or pulled one out they would Ooh!! and Ahhh! I think Henry said wow a good handful of times. It was cute to see their excitement.

Sunday morning the Easter bunny had visited our house, the boys were again impressed by their baskets and were excited by the candy and toys. We went to church that morning and let me just say that church is not the same sitting in the kid section with the twin tornadoes. Their isn't much time to listen and reflect, it's a whole different experience. I look forward to the days of sitting back IN the church with two quiet little boys just sitting so throughout mass. This day will come right????

Later Sunday afternoon we went over to Grandpa and Grandma Collignon's house. My mom made a great dinner, we hung out and the kids had another egg hunt to do with their cousins. They were pros by now and knew just what to do :) It was a beautiful weekend filled with much fun, but we were ready to lay low by Sunday night.

This is my old purple car from when I was a little girl, my parents got it out for the boys. They loved it and it's a good way to keep them confined for a short period of time as they aren't too smooth with the door yet :)
