Valentines Day

We were suppose to be in California for the week and celebrate V-day in the sun... but Pete slipped on the ice in our driveway less than 12 hours prior to our plane taking off and broke his ankle. It was broke in two spots and required surgery so our trip was out of the question. Yes I was seriously debating trying to fly with two little ones alone but I was a good wife and stayed home as well. We were able to reschedule our trip for March thankfully. Needless to say we were extremely disappointed and all the energy wasted on packing and unpacking everything all while sitting here in the freezing temps was just about enough to put me over the edge! So when Valentines day rolled around I tried to make the most of it and love up on my sweet little boys and all that I have to be happy for.

We got each of the boys a  new little toy, some chocolate and some V-day stickers. They were super excited and wanted to dig into their gifts as soon as they got upstairs.

That morning we went to the zoo, we hit all the special shows just at the right time but being that it was just me with little guys things didn't go all that smooth when I let them out of the stroller for the bird show. We lasted maybe 5min into the show and I had to chase Henry down to get him back in the stroller. I don't think we're ready for complete freedom at the Zoo just yet. Next time Momma needs a partner if the kiddos are going get to run free :)

That afternoon we played and had a nice dinner. V-day turned out to be pretty sweet even if we weren't in the sun.
