6 Month Pictures

Photos Taken By Lindsay Nicole Photography At The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Spring 2013

6 Months

Another month has come and gone, they're getting so big! We had a checkup this month and Henry came in at 19lbs & 27.5 inches long, both in the 70th percentile. Colton weighed 16lbs & 26.5 inches long, both closer to average in the 40th percentile. The doctor was very happy with their progress as they continue to reach milestones and grow at an average rate of a singleton baby, even a little ahead on some things.  They are healthy boys which is such a blessing and all I could ask for... most days ;)

This month the boys discovered sleeping on their bellies (now that they roll all over they sleep how they want), finding and putting their own nooks in, sitting on their own on the floor (occasionally spilling over),  eating frozen fruit in their treat dispenser, rolling as a form of moving throughout the room, using a sippy cup, stealing nooks from each other, biting each other (actually only Henry the tooth monster does that),  throwing fits, babbling more and more back and forth to each other to the point of them both laughing at God knows what. It's so fun to watch them grow and grow and become more independent.

Henry got a helmet this month, his head was a little off shaped as a result of him having torticollis at birth (he favored one side giving his head a flat spot). He has grown out of the torticollis and his head quickly corrected from the helmet and now is an average circumference, no more flat spot. His situation was very minor and was border line from the beginning for even getting a helmet, but we went forward with it and are happy with the results.

Colton got his first hair cut this month. He was born with a fair amount of hair, lost it all, and now it has filled in really nice. He just got a trim but it was still a first and an exciting outing for him as he got to be alone with Mom, something that doesn't happen very often.

We have been able to go for more walks as the weather gets better. They got to experience their first ride on the park swing. Colton loved it, no surprise as he loved his swing at home since birth, but Henry cried like a little baby. It was a no go for him, hopefully he grows out of that! Henry may be bigger but Colton is definately the tougher one of the two.

Their personalities continue to show more and more these days. They may be twins but they are pretty different in every aspect. Henry continues to be the type A, fitting as he was baby A, he is pretty dramatic, gets into trouble and loves to bug his brother. Colton continues to be very mellow, keeps to himself and really studies everything that is going on. They are so fun to watch as they learn new things!

Life continues to go well, they are very happy loving boys and Pete and I are so happy to have them.

Colton loved the swing, no surprise :)

Easter

Easter morning we got up early for church, had a nice breakfast at home and did our first family egg hunt. The Easter Bunny had hidden eggs, even some for Cooper, and had brought some fun baskets. The boys were less than excited for the egg hunt as Colton began to meltdown. Being that it was nap time I guess I should have expected this (Not the best time planning on my part). Cooper was thrilled and found all his eggs right away... maybe the Easter Bunny should have just hid eggs for him ;) We did get some somewhat happy photos :)  That afternoon we spent at Grandma and Grandpa Collignon's house where we had a very nice dinner.

Here was our day in photos...

New summer hats in our baskets... YEAH!
