Turning Three

Colton and Henry are 3!!!! I can't believe how fast the first few years go. They are little boys now, my babies have quickly grown so fast, tear tear! I'm not going to lie that we certainly visited the terribly two's so I'm fully embracing turning three. The boys have really become their own little people with big personalities and a lot of spirit. I couldn't be more proud of who they are and how they embrace each day with energy and smiles.

Henry continues to be full of spunk and humor. He truly is funny and makes us laugh often with his remarks and observations. He continues to be aware of everything and into anything he can get his hands on. He likes a challenge and will take you on if given the chance. He loves people, he always wants a buddy around and needs to be where the party is at at all times. He is a boy in every way, he loves getting dirty, playing with tools, sports, being outside, fishing, animals and getting into trouble. We love him to pieces and couldn't imagine life without him.

Colton has really become an independent sweet little boy. He has really come out of his shell and as of lately is more outgoing then Henry. Colton loves to be around people but is completely okay playing on his own as well. He is very aware of what is going on and able to sway things in his favor. He is also very aware of others feelings and will always sit with his brother to keep him company in time out. He is quick to say sorry, thank you and I love you but  is very stubborn and will not cave or compromise his end goal. He likes to help with any task or project. He likes sports and is showing a strong interest in baseball. He also likes fishing, animals, trains, and playing outside. He seems to be quick to pick up the concept of things and doesn't forgot a thing. He loves a routine and order. I'm not sure where he gets that from ? ;) He is full of sweetness, love and the best hugs. We love him and couldn't imagine life without him either.

Here are some photos with family and friends celebrating the big 3!

Summer

Summer is always a busy time of year, and being that we live in Minnesota and it's cold 70% of the time, we really try to make the most of the beautiful days we are given. We spent as much time as we could outside at parks, in the boat, visiting friends cabins, going to the farm and enjoying our new home. The boys are now at an age where I can easily take them places (as long as they listen and don't bolt off on me) and we can do just about anything.
Both Henry and Colton love the water and have no fear splashing around, but the one time we did try to take them on the tube it was a loud and clear NO GO! We basically had to peel them off of me and put them back in the boat.
We took the boys fishing a few times and they really got a kick out of it. They understand the concept but don't always have the patience. An hour or so is about as long as we stay but it's still fun to get them out.
They still love animals, especially their puppy Cooper, and while we visited the farm we went over to Farmer Bob's place and the boys got a full tour of all the animals. The baby cows were really sweet to see and the chickens and horses are always a favorite.
The summer came and wet all to quickly, but we made the most of it and look forward to it's return in 8-9months ;(
