February

Our February was spent with a weekend up on Big Sandy, finishing things up on the new house,   H&C hanging out/getting into trouble while I'm busy packing, celebrating V-day and my birthday. It was a busy month of getting things done as we are going on a big trip in a few weeks, moving just 10 days after we get back and trying to finish the new house in time for us to move directly in.  The boys seem to understand that we are moving and enjoy visiting our new house, but I'm not sure how all of this is going to to down. :)

New Years...
We went up to Lake Vermillion and spent time with our good friends Derek & Krissy. They have a beautiful cabin that we stayed at for four nights. The kids had lots of fun playing as did the adults. We did as much outside activity as we could, we snowshoed, a little bit of sledding & some snowmobiling. It was really cold so the kids couldn't stay out for all too long. We did our best to keep inside playtime fun but I think the kids where getting cabin fever by day four. It was a fun weekend away with some good family time :)

Their daughter Ella is such a cutie and were pretty sure Henry has a big crush on her. It was so cute to watch them interact with each other, he basically would do whatever she wanted. If she threw a toy he would go get it, if she screamed he would go talk to her and they would have moments where they would just look at each other and smile. Too sweet!!!!

It was a cold weekend so we did all that we could to stay warm while having some fun outside:)

Train Fun...
The boys got several Thomas the train things for Christmas and they have kept themselves busy with building different tracks each day. Thomas is a favorite right now and it keeps Colton happy most of the day. Henry likes it as well but doesn't seem to focus on any one thing for all that long ;) Surprising right?

Fun at the Zoo...
We have been zoo members basically since the boys have been born, they love to see the animals and our zoo has some great outdoor things to walk thru so the fresh air is great on a nice winter day. This last trip to the zoo we seem to time everything just right and were the only ones there. We got to see many of the animals get feed, the otters were a favorite and the boys would shout out to the trainers to give them more fish. We got to see the big bears right up close and also see the underwater show. It was a great morning out.

Funny Moments...

Henry decided to take his boots and socks off but kept his hood up for warmth, typically Henry behavior. Colton prefers to keep it more together and quietly look out the window.

One of the buys did this... they must have thought the the toy puppy had to go potty!

They are really getting into fishing now, especially Colton, and he was so proud of his big catch.

Christmas

Christmas is a busy time of the year and we tried to squeeze in all the fun we could this season. The boys really are starting to talk these days and they understand and pick up on just about anything. So they really understood the whole present thing and they would talk about Santa and point him out. We talked about baby Jesus as well but I'm not sure the truly understand the true meaning on Christmas just yet. They also loved all the lights inside and out.

Christmas Eve we went to mass late in the afternoon, afterwards we drove around and took in all the light displays and then we came home to a nice family dinner. After dinner the boys got to open one Christmas present (PJ's) and we watched the Christmas Story. We set cookies and milk out for Santa and headed to bed.

Christmas morning the boys were excited to see what Santa brought and to open presents. We spent the morning enjoying opening gifts and playing with all our new toys.

After nap we headed over to Nana and Papa's house for Christmas with the Collignon's.

We had a very blessed Christmas, spending it with family and making lasting memories.
